Intruder Alarm Maintenance

Keep your intruder alarm tested and properly serviced to maintain your property's security. Even if your intruder alarm system was installed by another company, we are happy to take over and maintain any kind of security system. A take over fee may apply, which covers an engineer visiting your property to inspect, test and reprogramme your alarm. But as all of our engineers are trained to service a wide range of intruder alarm products, you can rely on us to deal quickly and efficiently with any existing faults and issues you may be experiencing, and to keep your alarm system working.

It’s important to keep your security system in good working order to reduce false alarms and to ensure that an alarm will be raised in the event of an actual burglary.

We recommend customers to have a regular maintenance visit from one of our qualified engineers. But if you don't want to commit to a maintenance contract for your intruder alarm, you can request an engineer visit for a one-off call-out fee. Depending on the alarm system and the problem, this is usually €€80.00 for a home alarm and €€100.00 plus VAT for a commercial alarm.

A maintenance contract will ensure that your intruder alarm is inspected and tested regularly, and can often pre-empt issues with your alarm system which would otherwise require an emergency call-out. As a contract customer, you are also guaranteed a response to an emergency call within 3 hours.

There are various maintenance packages for you to choose from depending on your requirements and budget. Alarm maintenance is renewed annually, so you will never find yourself tied in to a contract if you don't feel that our service delivers good value for money:

The annual preventative maintenance visit is carried out in accordance with European Standards EN50131-1 and includes the following checks:

  • Check installation, location and siting of all equipment and devices against specification.
  • Test operation of all detection devices (PIR's, Contacts, etc..).
  • Check junction box connections or other connection/termination points.
  • Test all audible warning and alarm devices.
  • Test mains and stand-by battery power supplies, including charging voltages.
  • Test control unit for correct operation.
  • Test remote signaling equipment physical connections if fitted.
  • Test remote signaling equipment communications to the Alarm Receiving Centre. (Applicable to monitored alarm systems only).
  • Check system is fully operational.
  • Provide a signed engineer’s report.

Where your intruder alarm meets the requirements , we can carry out remote diagnostics and servicing. Our managment system will complete a full diagnostics of your system and report any issues 4 times per year with out any downtime/interuptions to your service. This service is free of charge for any customers with a Monitored alarm system. This dramatically improves the speed and efficiency of our alarm maintenance service as we can invariably fix problems without the need to dispatch an engineer to your site.

We only use equipment of the highest quality, and all of our systems meet the requirements set out in the Irish and European Standard I.S. En50131-1: 2006. We are licenced by The Private Security Authority and Certified by MSC (Management Systems Certification).
