Intruder Alarm Components

Intruder Alarm Systems are made up of various components which we combine to provide the required protection level based on our survey and risk assessment. Only the best components and control equipment are used by Eleco Services Limited to provide the highest standards of detection without compromise and within budget. Most of the items detailed can come as wired or wireless components.

These devices come in all shapes and packages but all with one simple but effective function; to detect the opening of a protected structure (door, window, shutter etc..). A sealed reed switch and magnet are paired together on either side of the protected structure and upon their separation, an alarm will signal at the control panel, the local sirens will operate and if a Monitored System a signal will be received in the Monitoring Control Centre.

This catageory consists of many devices using many different technologies with various designs and configurations to protect everything from a small room to large factory floor or 60 metre long corridor:

A Passive Infrared detector reacts when a change of temperature passes through a background of a fixed temperature. A intruder alarm signals is raised when the unit measures a change in energy caused by an intruder.

PIR_Motion_Dual

These units consist of two technologies passive infrared and motion (microwave detectors ) which work independantly to sense an intruder only when both technologies sense an intruder will an alarm signal be generated. These detectors are used in commercial or harsh enviorments where conventional detectors may generate false alarms.

RF_PIR_Motion_Quad

These dual technology detectors based on a high quality PIR verified by a novel "Distance of Motion" (DoM) measurement technique. This technique uses ultrasonic technology to measure the distance travelled by the target and its accuracy is not significantly effected by the distance of the target from the detector. The result is a detector with sharp detection characteristics and excellent rejection of traditional false alarm sources.

Ideal for protection of compounds and perimeter protection requirements. These specialist beams, such as covert beams for discrete use, reflector beams (now available as an external product) ideal where supplying power to both ends of a zone is difficult, long range beams (up to 600m) mainly used on military and aviation projects, intrinsically safe beams ideal for the petrochemical industry, twin beams for building and aperture protection, and the flagship product the Intelligent Synchro Quad range. A range of beams offering up to 200m external coverage using a lattice of 16 beams for minimum false alarms, also featuring environmental outputs for early warning of adverse conditions. The range encompasses variations such as an anti-crawl model for high-risk environments such as prisons, and a low current version with the option of utilising solar panels and batteries to overcome power supply problems.

Standard_Sensor_Range

Protect vaults, safes, ATMs, and other metal cabinets with these sensors. The seismic detection system reacts to the characteristic vibration patterns of breaking-and-entering tools, drills etc... The sensors allow for normal human activity around the protected area without the risk of creating false alarms. Each sensor incorporates three channels—counting, integration, and explosion—that analyze signal frequencies, duration, and amplitude to determine when an intruder attacks.

Normally fitted to windows or other structures to be protected these Inertia detectors are capable of monitoring for minor and gross physical attacks at the same time. Minor attacks are registered as a pulse whilst a gross attack will cause an instant activation.

Glass break burglar alarms work by responding to the sound or shockwave produced by glass breaking. An alarm will signal when the unit recognises the distinct sound of glass breaking. It is important to note that equal coverage should be provided to all panes of glass to ensure maximum-security intruder detection.

Panic_Button_Dual_Push

This range of can include panic/hold-up buttons, foot rail, money clip, wired or wireless panic buttons. When pressed they can gererate an audible or silent alarm. All of these devices are kept in a discreet location, however upon activation emergency services anc be contacted and dispatched immediately.

Eleco Services use smoke detectors which continuously monitor their sensitivity and operational status. Background drift is daily compensated to maintain the original calibrated sensitivity within the EN54 sensitivity limits. Once a day the detector performs a full diagnostic test that includes dynamically testing the sensing chamber as well as the internal electronics. If a detector drifts out of sensitivity range or fails the internal diagnostics test, this is reported back to the panel and indicated on the detector with a yellow fault LED.

Upon detection these smoke (and/or heat) detectors signal a fire at the main control panel and if Monitored the emergency services may be sent.

A new area of concern especially to householders is carbon monoxide poisioning. Carbon monoxide is a product of the combustion of organic matter with insufficient oxygen supply and is often produced in domestic or industrial settings by oil burners, gas fires, motor vehicles and other gasoline-powered tools, heaters, and cooking equipment. The SafeAirCO alarm is the only industrial-grade carbon monoxide (CO) alarm specifically developed for use in a monitored security system. SafeAir’s high reliability makes it an ideal solution for both residential and commercial life safety systems.

The sensor communicates with a sophisticated on-board microprocessor that accurately calculates CO levels and exposure time. When compared to other popular CO-sensing technologies, SafeAir’s electrochemical technology offers better response time, quicker reset time, and superior false alarm immunity. SafeAir’s contoured design and small size allow it to blend well with many residential and commercial environments.

GSM_SW_SC

All Eleco Services alarm systems are fitted with a GSM unit, this allows the alarm system to communicate with the monitoring station & client without a phone line.
All GSM units are fitted with world wide Sim cards which means, if a netork is jammed or loses signal the sophisticated unit will switch to another available network providing constant coverage for their alarm system.
The client also has the option of controlling their alarm system via a Smart phone app
